Net Banking Security Tips

Security of your accounts is our top priority. KHCB uses the latest technology with robust security methods, including 128-bits SSL encryption, firewalls, timed log-out and access blocking in case of repeated incorrect password entry, to ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal and financial information.

However, the ultimate key to security is in your hand. Here are some steps that you should take to ensure that you are taking the necessary precautions:

Password Protection

Change your passwords when you receive them the first time, and regularly afterwards (at least once a month).

Your passwords must be 6-8 characters in length and should be alphanumeric (combination of letters and numbers) with no special characters.

Memorize your passwords. Do not write them down or leave them anywhere that someone else can obtain and use them or share them with anyone. Do not store your passwords in your mobile or email.

Never reveal your passwords to anyone, including the employees of KHCB. KHCB will never ask you to disclose your passwords to any of KHCB staff.

Use passwords that are hard to guess. Avoid real words or those that can be easily identified, such as, name, family name, date of birth, telephone number, etc.

Notify KHCB immediately if you suspect that your password has become known to someone else.

If you forget your password please contact KHCB.

Login Security

Always log on to Net Banking by typing KHCB’s website address www.khcbonline.com into the address bar of the browser. Do not access KHCB website from a link provided in an email from any source.

When you are done with your Net Banking session, use the Log Out button to end the Net Banking session and close the browser window.

Never walk away from your computer without properly logging out from Net Banking and closing your browser.

Regularly log into your Net Banking accounts and check your account activity to ensure that all transactions are legitimate.

In order to protect our customers' account security, access to Net Banking will be automatically blocked once multiple attempts to log in are made with an incorrect password.

Email Security

Do not access the Bank website from a link provided in an email from any source. Be suspicious of any e-mail with requests for personal financial information. "Phishers" typically include upsetting or exciting (but false) statements to get people to react immediately. Do not fill out forms in e-mail messages that ask for personal financial information. Communicate such information only after logging into your Net Banking account. Remember, KHCB does not send out emails to customers requesting personal, confidential or account information.
